MAASV is pleased to announce a silent auction for one person to attend the Metal Art worKshops and Educational Retreat (MAKER) Symposium and BBQ on Sunday, June 8th, 2008.

Jack Da Silva, the founder of MAKER, has generously donated this great opportunity for the highest bidder to attend. MAKER is celebrating its 10th year of successful summer metal art workshops.

The MAKER Symposium and BBQ package currently retails at $150.00. The symposium is a day of slide shows and demonstrations by all the MAKER instructors: Darlys Ewoldt, Fred Fenster, Joe and Betty Harris, Deborah Lozier, Tom Madden, Richard Mawdsley, McNeill and Markarian

The opening bid starts at $50.00 with successive minimum bid increases of $5.00

Deadline for last bids are due Thursday, May 22nd by 12 midnight PST.

Current highest bid will be displayed and updated on the MAASV website.

The winning bidder will be announced at 12noon PST on Friday, May 23rd.

The winning bidder is responsible for all transportation to and from the MAKER Symposium & BBQ.

Place a bid only if you really intend to buy the item. Once you have placed a bid, it is a legally binding contract to purchase the item from the seller if you're the winning bidder. You, the bidder, are responsible for reading the full item listing, including the seller's instructions and accepted payment methods.

Winning bid must be paid using PayPal. No other forms of payment will be accepted.

If winning bid has not been remitted by May 27th, the next highest bidder will be notified.

This all-day event includes:


a. the MAKER Symposium on Sunday, June 8th, starting at 9am until 5pm
b. the famous MAKER BBQ at 6pm (vegetarian meal option available).
c. Professor Seung-Hee Kim's lecture and slide show on Traditional and Contemporary Korean Metalwork at 8pm
d. the option to stay overnight on Saturday, June 7th -or- Sunday night after the lecture/slide show
e. Meals on Sunday are included (vegetarian meal option available)
